What will you do?

This is a management role, overseeing 6 team members and reporting to the Global Controller in the US. 

  • Responsible for completion of month end accounting and reconciliation
  • Responsible for statutory reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Lead Revenue department focused on billing and collections
  • Supporting Global Controller on Business and Organizational strategy

Main Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Leading the completion of period end accounts including month end, quarter end and year end
  • Statutory reporting and consolidation for all UK companies
  • Completion of VAT and other regulatory returns
  • Group reporting and consolidation to parent company
  • Support Revenue team focused on billing and revenue recognition
  • Assist Finance with understanding revenue trends and cash forecasting
  • Looking at current processes and procedures, recommending and documenting any improvements that can be made
  • Review Netsuite systems recommending and documenting any enhancements

 

Legal and regulatory

  • Providing support to tax partners on legal and regulatory

 

Privacy

  • Providing support to the FD on data privacy requirements
  • Attending training, listening to guidance & communications and other resources to understand your responsibilities in relation to the processing and protection of Personal Information and comply with the CPOMS Privacy Policy
  • Being aware of how to identify risks and the regulatory requirements relating to Personal Information processed and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate and manage them

 

Other

  • Responsible for behaving in a manner that supports the Company values and being a great role model

Policies

  • Responsible for complying with all Company rules, policies & procedures

What do you need to succeed?

Experience

 

  • ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
  • Ideally from a practice background with industry experience
  • Big4 or Top 10 trained, candidates for smaller firms possibly considered if they have an outstanding academic background and experience
  • Degree level educated - 1 or above preferred
  • Experience of relevant financial operating systems essential with Sage 50 and NetSuite experience particularly advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

The job holder is required to carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Finance Director.
