The Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll & Human Resources Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll & HR Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the SaaS industry, with additional responsibilities in Human Resources administration.

What will you do?

Responsibilities:

  • Process, manage, and maintain monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation and internal audit requirements.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to new and existing employee queries regarding payroll and pension matters.
  • Validate invoices to source data systems, ensuring correct days worked and rates charged, and report any discrepancies.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations to ensure adherence to financial control processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to payroll processes and performance metrics.
  • Escalate issues to management as needed and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Support the administration of Human Resources tasks, including:
    • Managing employee records and documentation.
    • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Coordinating employee benefits enrollment and changes.
    • Assisting with HR-related inquiries and providing support to employees.
    • Supporting HR projects and initiatives as needed.

 

Experience & Skills Required:

 

  • Proven experience in a payroll function managing a busy payroll desk.
  • Strong understanding of UK PAYE legislation and calculations for deductions such as overpayments, maternity, sickness payments, Tax, and NI.
  • Strong understanding of UK Leave laws and UK employment laws with demonstrated experience staying abreast of changes to laws and statutory requirements.  
  • Experience with basic HR matters like performance improvement processes, dismissals, part-time workers, changes in contracts, completing DBAs, etc.
  • Ability to manage a defined workload, meet processing deadlines, and pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to common goals.
  • Confidence in escalating issues to management and proactively identifying solutions.
  • Positive attitude and solutions focused mindset.

What do you need to succeed?

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in Payroll & HR.
  • Experience working in an international environment highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in any Time tracking systems
  • Experience supporting employee life cycle operations (e.g. onboarding, movement, offboarding, etc.).
  • Experience in operational internal controls, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to details and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • A private home office or workspace with the ability to secure confidential information and have private conversations.
  • Ability to travel to Skipton office location at least 2-4 times per month.
  • Ability to participate in virtual meetings during US workday, as needed.
